Antimony(V) Chloride is a reducing agent for technetium-99m labeled radiopharmaceuticals. A reagent used in the perchlorination of polychlorinated biphenyls. It also acts as a reagent or a catalyst in some organic reactions like Friedel-Crafts reactions, Michael additions, rearrangement, chlorination and homologation reactions.
