(-)-trans-Phenothrin is used in exhaustive parallel conformational search of pyrethroids and structural similarity study. Also used as an active compound combination having insecticidal properties, a synthetic reagent in the preparation and optical purity of benzylic ester pyrethroid enantiomers.
