6-Methoxypyridine-3-sulfonyl Chloride is used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals. It is used as a reactant in the preparation of sulfonate analogs of combretastatin VIP(LA)4 as potent antimitotic agents. Also used in the preparation of compounds with H+,K+-ATPase inhibitory action and gastric acid secretion inhibitory activities.
