Bis(dibenzylideneacetone)palladium is a compound used as a component of a potentiometric membrane sensor to selectively determine the presence of thiocyanate in the urine of cigarette smokers. Bis(dibenzylideneacetone)palladium is also used as one of the homogeneous catalysts in the synthesis of Tricyclopentadiene from Dicyclopentadiene (D439350).
